Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. If you read through the whole thread you will see that many people have had success in resolving this problem by simply reinstalling their webcam's original Windows 7 driver. Right Click and Left Click "Properties".
The first search result took me to the driverguide. Now just ensure the location where the downloaded driver file is appears in the search box and click Next.
Your driver should now install. Apologies to those who already know all this stuff but there are obviously a few people in this thread who lack experience in searching for and installing drivers.

It asks for an application name. Camera which I believe is a new feature of Win 10 is not listed, and I'm not sure that would do it anyway. The laptop has facial recognition as a log in option which I use regularly.
